Our Pastor

Brandon Bailey was called by the Northwest Coast Presbytery to serve as the organizing pastor of Tidelands Church in 2012. When the church chartered as a congregation in 2017 he became the first "installed" pastor of Tidelands Church and continues to serve in this role. He currently lives on Camano Island with his wife, Kristina, and his two children.

Brandon began pursuing ministry opportunities as a young adult after realizing that God was calling him into pastoral/missional work. At Whitworth University he earned a B.A. in Religion, a minor in Psychology, and a Certification in Ministry. After graduating from Whitworth, he served on the staff of Mountain View Presbyterian Church in Marysville, Washington for 14 years as Youth Director. During his time at Mountain View, Brandon completed his Master of Divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary (Northwest Extension) and helped serve in a secondary preaching role at Mountain View. After completing ordination exams and a chaplaincy practicum he was ordained to the ministry of organizing pastor of Tidelands Church (a new church development) in September of 2012. Brandon and his family moved to Camano Island in the summer of 2012 to launch this new ministry.

Brandon and Kristina met on the football field at Whitworth University where he was a player and she was an athletic trainer. They married in the spring of 1997 and lived briefly in Central Oregon before moving to Marysville. Kristina is a teacher and has been working in the Marysville School District since 1998. They have two amazing boys that keep life exciting! Brandon enjoys outdoor pursuits, sports, travel, reading, coaching youth sports, playing guitar, home improvement projects, boating, and spending time with his family.
